To mark the tenth anniversary of Berlin Brettspiel Con 2025, we have created a new board game award. The “Golden Paw” honors the best new game at the event that celebrated its premiere and launch at Berlin Con.

The prize is endowed with €1,500 in prize money for the authors of the winning game, donated by Berlin Brettspiel Con and Playce in Frankfurt.

The winning game will be selected by a qualified jury. This year, the jury included Katja Eisert from the Playce game location in Frankfurt, Silke Christensen from the Würfel & Zucker game café in Hamburg, and content creator Alexandra Kemmerer from the Brettspielhamster Instagram channel.

In 2025, the game “Compile” by American designer Michael Yang received the award. Congratulations to the designer and the German publisher Pegasus Spiele.
